Attend a LeaderShape National Session

A University of Texas - Dallas Project

Attend a LeaderShape National Session
Short Project Description

"Let's make something Extraordinary" by helping me help you

What is the outcome of the project?

Essentially, this project will help me become a better leader and bring a vast amount of knowledge to the organizations that I'm working with on campus. It will also aid my group that I'm working on campus and off campus that promotes and advocates for higher education. Also, it will not only empower myself but other students around me to strive higher and also help those around us that need/want the help.

Who is involved?

I’ll not only be representing myself, but also my community and my University, also, my mentor would be helping me orchestrate my ideas into actions on campus.

When will the project happen?

If everything moves along smoothly, it will begin July 29, 2012 and run through August 23, 2012 and after those dates, we would start working on campus and help organizations get off their feet and help create and foster a more welcoming title

Where will the project happen?

It will begin in Champaign, IL and will spread back on campus and throughout the organizations i work with.

Why does this project matter?

This project matters because it helps me expand my horizon and it also helps me become a better leader. It also helps me improve organizations such Great Minds (http://great2minds.wordpress.com/) and encourage younger generations to pursue a higher education. Great Minds is a personal organization I've put together with a colleague of mind to aid students in any way we can. Also, Great Minds allows to provide students with the necessary tools to carry themselves after high school and with our help, we'll make sure they stay on track. I strongly feel that LeaderShape will help me shape and improve on my skills in order to keep moving forward with other organizations I carry out.

How will the funds be used?

To be able to pay for the trip and expenses and be able to come back to
